Matt Kaminsky aka Gnarly Pippins is an apple expert, wild apple forager, arborist, and author of The Wild Apple Forager's Guide. A serendipitous introduction to heirloom apples and his studies at Hampshire College led him to his passion for the wild apple. In his current work, he's establishing cider orchard silvopastures at Preservation Orchard — headquarters of Carr's Ciderhouse.
